Java senior

The Rocket Tech team is looking for a Java developer to join our fintech development team on a large banking project.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend and APIs in Java.

• Optimising and scaling the application.

• Ensuring data security and confidentiality.

• Integrating with external services and APIs.

• Working with frontend developers and the QA team to ensure high-quality product delivery.

What we expect

• Understanding of how operating systems work and interact with the JVM;

• In-depth knowledge of Java and OOP principles;

• Understanding of networking: familiarity with the
  OSI model and its real-world implementations, understanding of stateless and stateful approaches to protocol design, and a clear grasp of the difference between HTTP and TCP;

• Good knowledge of and experience with Spring;

• Solid knowledge of SQL databases: ACID properties, transaction isolation levels, etc.;

• Experience with NoSQL is a plus;

• Hands-on experience setting up a microservices architecture on a new project is a big plus;

• Proficiency in a version control system, preferably Git;

• Experience with Docker;

• Ability and willingness to write good unit tests;

• Experience with static analysers (SonarQube);

• Experience with Testcontainers is a plus;

• Willingness to mentor colleagues and conduct code reviews.
