Routine tasks in the queue
Preparing routine changes and initial checks frees up part of an engineer’s workload. The actual effect is assessed with reviews and fixes taken into account.
A role with defined tasks, tools and access. The core practice is engineering work: preparing code, tests and merge requests reviewed by the team. Rocket Tech also uses an editorial role.
Experienced engineers are scarce and expensive
Kazakhstan. The market is flooded with juniors, while senior Backend and DevOps engineers cost up to 4M ₸ a month, and it is their time that goes to routine tasks and reviews. Uzbekistan. State-run courses have trained more than a million people, but a graduate earns 6M soums versus the industry average of 15M. An AI employee for a specific role closes the gap between the flow of newcomers and the shortage of experienced engineers.
Rocket Crew performs the tasks of a defined role, under your team’s control
Each role has defined tasks, sources, rules and permitted actions. In an engineering setup, Rocket Crew works with the tracker, repository and CI, prepares changes and responds to reviews. Architecture, acceptance and release approval remain with the team.

Project rules and available sources help prepare changes. Onboarding time and code understanding are tested in the pilot.
Alert analysis and fix preparation within agreed limits. Critical actions and escalation to a human are defined by the runbook.
Receives approved tasks from the tracker or editorial plan, clarifies requirements and prepares an execution plan.
Prepares code and tests to project rules and runs the available CI checks. Stack support is verified before the pilot.
Prepares merge requests, responds to comments and fixes the code. Initial review complements the engineer’s check.
Works with accessible code and decision history; answers with references to the sources found are verified by the team.
Migrations, library updates and technical debt — on agreed tasks, with tests and review.
Analyses connected alerts, prepares fixes or escalates to a human. Operating hours and responsibilities are set by the runbook.
Roles and actions are agreed with InfoSec; secrets and working environments are protected by access settings. Changes go through review, and actions are logged. AI in development
External or local models under an agreed data processing scheme. Switching models requires compatibility and quality checks on project tasks.
Weekly report: accepted tasks, cycle time, post-review fixes, costs and incidents.
Agreed tasks in one repository; comparison of quality, time and cost before and after. Fixed price for the pilot scope.
One role, agreed systems and a weekly report — by subscription. Incident handling and support are defined separately.
Model hosting, roles, logs and integrations for multiple teams — under contract.

“Rocket Crew is not an assistant waiting for a prompt. It holds a specific position: it takes a task, does it and goes through review together with people. We started with an engineer for ourselves, then added an editor, so that routine work doesn’t eat up strong specialists’ time.”

The tool performs agreed tasks. People define the architecture, check the results and own the release; the share of automation depends on the role and the project.
Access rights, secrets, models and data transfer are agreed with information security. Review, CI and logging are part of the control framework, but they do not replace checking configurations and risks.
According to Rocket Tech’s materials, the first and most mature role is engineer; editor is also in use. Analytics and support are considered for specific scenarios and integrations.
Tests, CI, merge requests and team review. The pilot measures acceptance, fixes, time and costs; the share of AI-written code alone does not prove quality.
Rocket Crew organizes work around a defined role, a task queue and team rules. The right format and degree of autonomy are chosen based on the tasks and pilot results.
A 30-day pilot at a fixed price for an agreed scope. The subscription billing unit, model costs and on-premises deployment are set out in the contract.
