The company was founded in 2011 in Almaty by Roman Nadein and Oleg Kachalin. We grew from a small startup team into a full-service agency, then became a digital product studio, and later an IT vendor for the fintech market.
From web development to digital banking and AI: new technologies, in-house products and steadily expanding engineering expertise.
Roman Nadein and Oleg Kachalin found the company. The first projects were in-house startups: Kinozavr and “Allo, Taxi”.
A shift to building commercial websites and mobile apps as Kazakhstan’s digital market grew. Clients included major FMCG brands and local companies, banks among them. Websites for Halyk Bank, Pepsi with the region’s first game mechanics, Dove and Lay’s.
A shift from project-based development to building digital products with measurable business results.
The first office cat, Captain, arrives. He becomes the company’s mascot for good and lays the foundation of our pet-friendly culture.
Our own project “Kazakhstan Reality”, an emoji set for Nauryz: beshbarmak and baursaks, korpe, dombra, yurt, akyn and a gift ram. The emoji went viral: they were covered by Tengri News, Lenta.ru, Gazeta.ru, Nur.kz and Karavan, shared by city communities, and Hit TV aired a story about them.
Named best web studio at the national internet award Award.kz two years in a row. In 2016, Rocket Firm websites took three first and three third places in category nominations, and the Grand Prix winning website was also built by us. In 2017, the company’s clients received 10 awards.
Rocket Tech becomes a resident of Astana Hub, the international tech park for IT companies in Kazakhstan.
More than 400 digital products and campaigns over a decade. Clients used to bring every task to Raketnaya Firma LLP; now services are split across the brands of Rocket Firm Group. SMM moved to Setochka, digital marketing to Holy Media, pharma solutions to Magic Slide, expert IT development to Rocket Tech, and digital banking products to Ready Bank.
Our own product “Apoteka”, an online pharmacy in the pharmacy-as-a-service format: external warehouses with a wide range, discounted items, order statuses, payment by card or wallet and fast delivery. Brand, backend and API, mobile apps, integrations with 1C, Kaspi and payment services. Apoteka later became the foundation of the Aurma pharmacy marketplace.
Development of our own banking platform, Ready Bank, and entry into the Uzbekistan market.
PLUS Galaxy Award Almaty in the “Promising fintech startup. Innovative company” category.
A pharmacy product grew into a standalone company, the Aurma.kz marketplace. The project raised $500K from a private investor for a platform upgrade, rebranding and scaling.
Lab opened in Almaty. Ready Bank CRM launched at Davr Bank (Uzbekistan).
Rocket Tech becomes a resident of IT Park Uzbekistan, the technology park for IT companies in Uzbekistan.
Automation of internal processes, development of Rocket Crew and launch of AI agents for engineering teams. Office opened in Tashkent.
